The perfect lead-in to Picasso, is caramel ginger, strawberry rose, and Grande Marnier gelato! Enjoyed on le Ile Saint Louis..
The Picasso museum itself was a stately renovated Hôtel Salé (yes, I copied and pasted that from wikipedia...which causes font havoc), made modern by the colourful stained glass window squares..
We weren't technically allowed to take pictures inside, but we thought the staircases would be less frowned on..
Kristina and Lorraine then innocently sat on a bench in the Picasso Museum courtyard.
Only to become PICASSO'D by a nearby observer.
We grew hungry after so much world-shifting artwork, and stumbled across an Italian spaghetti bar serving MEAN and delicious Mojitos.
The magical part: it came with free food! (On delightful 80's tupperware sets)
Gastronomically satisfied, we went to the Pompidou center for more modern art.
The escalators were awesome.
But we are thinking their surgical drawings need more tension?
those clamps look funny...
ReplyDeleteTo be fair this faux-surgical modern artist is very famous, and installed super-cool giant spiders in places around the world...
