Today we decided to walk to the eiffel tower."Look on the map, it's not that far"....yes it is far stupid map...very far indeed
And yes this map happens to be on a cake...that's how they read maps here...so stop judging..
While it was a far walk, it gave us the opportunity to see other "monuments" that we may see in the future...even if it was from a distance...
There was the Louvre (hopefully on schedule for tomorrow)
Les Invalides....
and a few things we weren't sure of....
(greenhouse something or other?)
(unfinished ferris wheel?)
Finally, we reached our goal, and it was well worth it! (we didn't actually go up to the top of the Eiffel Tower as the line-ups were ridiculous by the time we got there...but we intend on going back)
Luckily, on our way back, we discovered the glory of the "batobus" (boat-bus) which we pleasantly rode along the Seine back to Hotel de Ville (not far from our place).
