Today we decided to brave the outdoors, besides our various lung afflictions, and indulge in some window shopping, scoping of the local attractions, and picnicking with the local French revelers along the Southern bank of the Seine..
Watch out Kristina! The tiger is stalking you..
We thought that Takami would enjoy this one (of many, surprisingly) Japanese and/or sushi restaurants in the neighbourhood.
Then, we found an irresistible store, full of art supplies, and typographic paraphernalia!
This card from the store foreshadowed later events, but the picture was made entirely of tiny letters..
There were also many beetle-themed goods, to the delight of certain arthropod enthusiasts in the group.
We are really just children in a candy store.
Here is the alluded Notre Dam visit! Improved greatly by a blustery day, and a head shot.
On our way in the general direction of home and/or a cafe, we discovered a nicely-manicured courtyard maze.
Later in the evening, there was word that every night the local Parisians gather on the south bank and dance. We brought some potable essentials to watch.
We also have devised a system to rate wines, the syrah so far achieves red X, and the Cambras achieves green checkmark!
Kristina,
ReplyDeleteIt is totally appropriate to bring a small arthropod-themed gift back for your supervisor... just sayin'...8>)
(kidding, of course... glad to hear you are all having a splendid time! Everyone is enjoying the photos, despite our overwhelming envy!)
