But first, two mysteries, one solved just today by Kristina, one yet to be unravelled..
Three days ago, by Hotel-De-Ville, we saw a bunch of people laying baguettes out on strings in the middle of a square. Huh? You ask.. The answer follows at the end of this blog..
Mystery Deux:
We keep finding odd, pixelated, mosaic pictures on the sides of buildings!
The markings of a secret pixelated society?
A lone artist's rebellion against the digital world and its obsession with good graphics?
Or perhaps just some misanthropists trying to deliver their message. (Anyone who solves the riddle is entitled to some duty-free beverages)
Later we walked down towards Hotel-De-Ville, and on the way discovered a very curious store.
Across the street from the gloriously aesthetic city hall, is the Hotel-De-Ville's bazar, which we will return to at some earlier time in the day (really, you mean wake up in the morning?) to visit the art store in its basement.
Next, we indulged in our very first outdoor cafe experience, shown here for maximum yumminess are our desserts (Kristina: Mousse Chocolat, Jenna: Ile Flottante, Krista: Creme Brule)
And finally, the answer to the first mystery:
... a baguette pyramid! Oh you Parisians..
